PLAYBuilder Partner Spotlight: Club

Le Masque de Fer

Since its inception in 2018, PLAYBuilder has been fundamentally shifting the manner in which sport and physical literacy organizations create, promote, and deliver their sport programming. Curious how PLAYBuilder can be an effective tool to your organization? Hear from our partner, Le Masque de Fer who have been using PLAYBuilder to provide quality sport deliverables to their community over the past year.

Olivier Tyteca, head coach at Le Masque de Fer, emphasized PLAYBuilder’s ability to create and share activities with other coachers, specifically newer ones, as truly valuable. Le Masque de Fer serves Gatineau city of western Quebec, Canada, promoting fencing to instill its members the principles of good conduct and respect for others inherent in the sport of fencing. Headed by three-time Olympian Michel Dessureault, Le Masque de Fer aims to inspire and motivate the next generation of fencers. Since 2001, the organization has lead several athletes to silver and gold medal finishes across a number of tournaments and events.

“I was actually looking for a way to share session plans, activities appropriate to their age groups to help them [coaches] in their teaching.”

The partnership between Le Masque de Fer and PLAYBuilder stems back early 2020. Le Masque de Fer’s desire to provide their coaches with a scalable and developmentally appropriate coaching platform led them to seek an effective modern solution to their programming: PLAYBuilder.

“PLAYBuilder also allowed for us to create session activities for other coaches and the different environments in which they work, such as schools.”
